They are also the best investment for the look and value of your home and business.

Door Screens

Hinged and Sliding Security Doors are growing more popular in today's new and renovated homes.

15-year standard warranty has been tailored specifically for the Invisi-Gard® product to give you confidence in your purchase.

Sliding Screen Doors

Sliding door screens offer a practical solution to add security and protection to wider door openings or situations where there might be insufficient space for the swing required by a hinged door. Commonly used to complement glazed sliding doors, Invisi-Gard security sliding door screens are also popular for providing securable entry points to screened-in outdoor living spaces such as enclosed patios or decks.

Installing security sliding doors ensures a home stays protected when the matching glazed doors are left opened to create an indoor-outdoor environment.

The high visibility of the Invisi-Gard 316 mesh means the security screen doors do not compromise light or views, while allowing natural air movements through the home and protection from insects.

Invisi-Gard sliding door screens are also designed to keep out unwanted intruders of the larger kind, having surpassed testing against stringent Australian Standards to withstand impact and attack by sharp objects. Their triple locking system and robust door hardware have been further proven to withstand jemmy attacks where a lever is used to try and force a door open. Opting for sliding screen doors will deliver excellent security features without compromising on the vision through door openings.

Hinged Door Screens (Single)

For single door openings, a hinged door screen is a straightforward way to add home security and protection, enabling external doors to be left open without fear of unwanted intruders. With their standard three-point locking system, and impact and attack resistant 316 mesh, hinged door screens form an effective barrier to keep a home safe.

On the front of a home, a hinged door screen can enhance the overall appearance of the entrance while providing security benefits. Screen doors can be colour-matched and powder coated to blend with the existing frame and style. For wooden front doors, a timber-grain finish can be applied to complement the natural wood behind. To coordinate with the chosen frame finish, hinges and door closers are available in a range of standard powder coated colours.

On side or rear building facades, hinged door screens are a practical way to secure entrances to high-use utility areas such as laundry rooms.

In these locations a locked security hinged door can allow an exterior door to be left open to promote natural ventilation while, for example, the clothes dryer is in use. In all locations around the home, Invisi-Gard's hinged security doors allow the full appreciation of natural light, air and views, in the comfort of a protected environment.

Screen doors for French doors

French doors are an elegant addition to both renovated and new homes, popular for connecting indoor areas to outdoor terraces as they are great for maintaining light and views.

An attractive and effective way to enhance the security of such doors, without impacting on those attributes, is pairing them with high visibility Invisi-Gard French security screen doors.

With their exceptionally clear mesh, Invisi-Gard French security screen doors allow the traditional nature of this style of doors to be enjoyed, while providing the security, insect protection and ventilation benefits offered by modern security screening. Installed to open in the opposite direction to the main doors, Invisi-Gard French screen doors can be mounted internally or externally and custom coloured to the finish required.

Constructed with the same high quality stainless steel mesh as Invisi-Gard single hinged and sliding door screens.

The French screen doors come with a triple locking system and double flush bolt as standard. The doors have been tested to meet and exceed the Australian Standards for security screen doors, providing an effective barrier to all types of unwanted intruders, while allowing continuing appreciation of light, air and views.

A: Invisi-Gard was patented in 2000 and began being sold into the market shortly thereafter. Our Dealer network has installed well over a million square metres of Invisi-Gard systems throughout Australia so far, and growing at an amazing rate. The Invisi-Gard brand is owned, supported and backed by Alspec, which has been a major distributor of aluminium building systems since 1974.
A: Invisi-Gard uses grade 316 stainless steel exclusively in its mesh. This grade of stainless steel is commonly called "marine grade" stainless steel and has superior corrosion resistance to other grades of stainless steel such as grade 304. This is because of the steel's chemistry which includes 2% Molybdenum, an alloying element not found in grade 304. Marine grade 316 offers real value for money, as the product will look pristine for many years to come with a minimum of maintenance.
A: If the Care and Maintenance Guidelines are adhered to, Invisi-Gard will maintain a beautiful rust free appearance for the life of the product. Like all other similar stainless steel products though, if it is not maintained, there is potential for corrosion to occur.
A: This type of corrosion occurs spontaneously as a result of different metals coming into contact with each other in the presence of a conducting electrolyte like salt water, dust, even humid air or other debris. The designs of some systems use fasteners or screws to fasten the stainless steel mesh to the aluminium frame with clamps. This means of clamping the mesh brings different metals into contact, that is the screws and the aluminium frame, and creates the potential for corrosion to take place. In the case of Invisi-Gard, there are no screws or fasteners and the different metals are completely isolated from each other, so this type of corrosion cannot take place.
A: The Australian Standard for Buildings in Bushfire Prone Areas refers to the screening of openings with meshes for various Bushfire Attack Levels BAL's. For sites to BAL-40, the requirement is that the mesh needs to have apertures less than 2mm and be made from a non-corrosive steel. Invisi-Gard mesh has apertures of 1.6mm, and is made of marine grade stainless steel and so is suitable for fire sites up to BAL-40.
A: The high tensile 316 grade stainless steel mesh is extremely durable and will withstand contact with domestic pets.
A: Yes, pet doors can be installed but it is important to understand that in doing so, the Invisi-Gard door will no longer be classed as a security door. This is because under the Australian Standard, the opening for a pet door, relegates the door to a barrier door only.
